چکیده

A circle C holds a convex body K ⊂ R3 if K can’t be moved far away from its position without intersecting C . One of our results says that there is a convex body K ⊂ R3 such that the set of radii of all circles holding K has infinitely many components. Another result says that the circle is unique in the sense that every frame different from the circle holds a convex body K (actually a tetrahedron) so that every nontrivial rigid motion of K intersects the frame.

Circles holding typical convex bodies

We prove here that, for most convex bodies, the space of all holding circles has infinitely many components.

Liquidity, Estate Liquidation, Charitable Motives, and Life Insurance Demand by Retired Singles

In this article, a model of life insurance holding is formulated. It takes into account the liquidation values and liquidity of estate assets and the ability of life insurance death benefits to bypass the probate process. Tobit regressions based on the model are run using the U.S. Survey of Consumer Finances 1989 data set. The results showed net worth (fixing net liquid assets and annuity wealt...

Bivariate mean value interpolation on circles of the same radius

We consider   bivariate  mean-value interpolationproblem, where the integrals over circles are interpolation data. In this case the problem  is described  over   circles of the same radius and with  centers are on astraight line and it is shown that in this case the interpolation is not correct.

O(n 3logn) Time Complexity for the Optimal Consensus Set Computation for 4-Connected Digital Circles

This paper presents a method for fitting 4-connected digital circles to a given set of points in 2D images in the presence of noise by maximizing the number of inliers, namely the optimal consensus set, while fixing the thickness. Our approach has a O(nlog n) time complexity and O(n) space complexity, n being the number of points, which is lower than previous known methods while still guarantee...

Quaternionic Product of Circles and Cycles and Octonionic Product for Pairs of Circles

This paper concerns with a product of circles induced by the quaternionic product considered in a projective manner. Several properties of this composition law are derived and on this way we arrive at some special numbers as roots or powers of unit. We extend this product to cycles as oriented circles and to pairs of circles by using the algebra of octonions. Three applications of the given pro...
